Here Are Five Steps That Can Reduce Your “Exposure” To EMR…

Electromagnetic radiation is invisible. You can’t see it or feel it. We don’t even know that it’s there. Although it isn’t on our radar screens, we are exposed to it everywhere we go, in our homes, offices, coffee shops and restaurants. If an EMR signal can penetrate a concrete building, think of what it can do to your brain.
1. Remove your cell phone from your bedroom at night and turn it off.
Did you know that many people especially children sleep with their cell phones underneath their pillow? God forbid they miss a text message at 2:00am. Even in standby mode, your cell phone is radiating into your brain all night long. Experts recommend that you not use your cell phone one hour before going to sleep, because it interferes with melatonin production… the hormone that aids in sleep.
2. Turn off and unplug all electronics in your bedroom…
Including the television, computer, electric alarm clock and cordless phone. All appliances emit radiation. When you are sleeping, your body is in repair and rejuvenative mode. You want your room to be a calm place. Replace your electric alarm clock with a battery operated clock (Zen alarm clocks are a great option).
3. Don’t sit with your laptop on your lap.
Research has shown that men who use their laptops on their laps have a higher risk of getting prostate cancer. Same goes for men wearing cell phones on their belts or pockets. Research has also shown a reduction in sperm count and sperm quality with men who keep their cell phones on their bodies for long periods of time
4. Unplug your wireless router at night…
Even when you are not using your computer, electromagnetic radiation is emitting from the router.
5. Limit cell phone and wifi use by your children.
Did you know that a cell phone call lasting just two minutes can alter the natural electrical activity of a child’s brain for up to an hour afterwards? Have you heard that using a cell phone for 500 to 1,000 minutes per month can increase the probability of cancer by 300%? Children are more vulnerable because their skulls are thinner as they develop.

OMG! And I thought the biggest problem with my digital clock was that it was too bright! A future post needs to be about bedroom harmony if one spouse wants to fall asleep to the TV, and the other is annoyed to wake up at 2am to a snoring partner and reruns of Oprah! OY!!!
